Exam Format & Practice

The dMAT is unlike any university exam you have taken. Understand the cognitive skills demanded by the two modules, why it is so difficult without aids, and how our platform perfectly mirrors the testing conditions.

Module 1: Core Skills (90 Min)
Figure Sequences Practice

Figure Sequences

The Skill: Visual pattern recognition and spatial reasoning. You must deduce the underlying rules governing moving shapes, colors, and overlapping matrices to predict the missing image.

The Challenge: Tracking multiple independent variables (e.g., a shape rotating clockwise while changing colors) simultaneously without being able to draw the intermediate steps on paper.

Mathematical Equations

The Skill: Complex quantitative reasoning. You are presented with a system of linear equations involving multiple variables (A, B, C, D) and must solve for each.

The Challenge: No calculators and no scratch paper. You must hold the substitutions and variable values entirely in your short-term working memory while performing the mental arithmetic.

Math Equations Practice
Latin Squares Practice

Latin Squares

The Skill: Strict logical deduction. Given a 5×5 grid, you must ensure the letters A through E appear exactly once in every row and column, in order to identify the letter hiding behind the "?" cell.

The Challenge: Cross-referencing rows and columns to eliminate possibilities requires intense focus, especially when the grid is heavily masked.

Module 2: General Academic (90 Min)

Reading & Reasoning Testlets

The Skill: Academic data interpretation and knowledge transfer. You are given complex texts, diagrams, or charts across various academic disciplines (Engineering, Economics, Humanities).

The Challenge: You must disregard your own prior knowledge. Every single-choice question must be answered based exclusively on the provided data within the testlet.

How Our Platform Mirrors the Reality

Strict Timers

Our system enforces brutal 25-minute practice blocks and full 3-hour mock exam countdowns to build your speed.

On-Screen Only

Our interface disables keyboard shortcuts and mimics the exact digital constraints you will face on test day.

Algorithmic Scaling

As you practice, our algorithm ramps up the difficulty, introducing you to the 'Very Hard' cognitive puzzles.
